I am copying text in Times New Roman from 1 document to another that is
formatted in Times New Roman also. When I copy the text changes to Verdana,
the Normal format. How do I stop this reformat. I have WordXP. hanks.

Pasting text between documents can still give strange formatting in Word
2003 because of the effect of styles.

Take a look at the IncludeText tutorial at
http://addbalance.com/word/download.htm for examples of how pasted text
changes depending on styles in the source and destination documents. (While
this is about IncludeText fields, you get the same anomalies with pasting.)

The article implies this happened in older versions of Word, but I never
had
this problem with Word2000.
