Although I have carefully unchecked "Allow PNG as graphics format" before
Publishing in Powerpoint 2000 on a Windows XP Professional PC, I still get
PNG images in the resulting files. Any suggestions what other settings I need
to look at?

Thanks,
Bruce

PowerPoint allows "round-tripping" (saving to HTML and then reimporting from
HTML back into PPT). To support this, it saves images on slides out to disk in
whatever format it uses to hold them internally. If that's PNG (and it
frequently is), you get PNGs in the support folder when you make HTML.

If you've disallowed PNGs as graphics format, they're probably not called on by
the HTML pages, so you may be able simply to delete them as long as you're sure
you won't need to reimport the HTML into PPT.
