Unwanted page border in Word XP

I am trying to print a document containing 2 pages onto an A4 sheet using the
option to print 2 pages on one side of the sheet. The A4 sheet prints in
landscape with the text of the two pages reduced in size and placed side by
side in A5 portrait orientation. The problem is that a border is printed
around the text so it gives the appearance of a landscape table with two
cells - each cell containing one page of the text. Both page and paragraph
borders are set to "none" and the border does not appear in print preview.
This indicates that the border is associated with the chosen printing option
and not the formatting. Is there a way of "switching off" this border?

Hi JayneLouise47

There are two ways to print two pages on one sheet. You can do it in Word at
File > Print in the Pages Per Sheet box. Or, with most printers, you can
also do File > Print and click Properties. Most modern printers have the
ability to print more than one page on a sheet. I suggest you try both ways
to see if that makes a difference.

Hope this helps.
