Word - page numbers

When creating documents, some pages are in landscape orientation. When the
document is compiled, these pages will be sideways relative to the main body
of the document. If I move the page numbers for these landscape pages to the
lower 8.5 inch page border, the page numbers for the portrait orientation
pages rotate to the left 11 inch page border. How can I get all the page
numbers to be at the bottom of the document (near the lower 8.5 inch page
border)?
