unwanted internet connection

If I leave my computer on after closing internet
connections I find it has signed on overnight by itself
and sometimes does this duringthe day. It never use to do
this and I can't see any application that seems to be
prompting it.
Any ideas would be good.

spybot safer-networking.org
ad-aware lavasoftusa.com
if you have weatherbug,it is nasty doing that ,when you did
not tell it could access the net by itself.
get a firewall zonelabs.com zonealarm free see what
wants out of your system.

new factory computers come with pre-installed spyware.
wildtangent and weatherbug. if you want stange unknown
people to know about you and your system then they should
ask and not just pull out info out of your system without
even a send info here button.

Thx again Jim, found the culprit wupdater.exe running as
a start up job. Installed firewall and working well.
