ROBBY, after 8 hard crashes in the last year I have
expereince with this. Go in to add/delete and write down
all progs. Some of these have to be taken out through A/D
or get a freeware that is easier to use and more
effective to rid these pests. It still burns me why they
load all this junk on your system.

Hi,

Where did you drag them from? Check your settings here:

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Change CommonDesktop from:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Desktop

To:

CommonDesktop
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop

To remove the files/folders:

Close all open apps. Open a command prompt (Start/Run/CMD) and navigate to
the directory with the offending file(s). Then open the Task Manager and
click on the Processes tab, select "explorer.exe" under the Process Tab.
Click "End Process".

In the opened Command Prompt, DEL the offending files (DEL *.mpg, DEL
mus*.avi, DEL test.wmv, etc.) Once done, go back to the task manager and
click on File/New Task (Run). In the dialog, type explorer.exe and click OK.
