Unwanted favorites/home page

I use IE v6.02.2800.1106

My home page seems to have been highjacked by either http//www.4.counter.com/?b.nec or http//www.icanfindit.net or (a new one) http://search2.ad.shopnav.com. If I reset my home page to (say) Google, the next time I open IE it tries to open one of these sites despite the fact that I have added them to my restricted sites and set security to HIGH.

I also have about fifty unwanted and obscene additions to my favorites that I cannot seem to delete premanently. If I try and delete them by the time I have worked my way halfway down the list they have recreated themselves.

How do I get rid of (a) all the unwanted favorites for ever and (b) how do I stop my home page being highjacked

Nice, but you can't run websites on it so I fail to see how it's relevant to
your problem.
