unwanted color on image

Maybe there is a film of something on the film that is filtering and
producing the purple color. Maybe a fingerprint?

Try a good cleaning of the film with PEC-12 if you have any.
Also did you try a reset of the scanner and try the scan again?

In fact this purple color was visible on several scans. The negatives
are new and should not be be touched, of course if not in lab. I tried
several scans with no avail.

Then it may be a lab processing error. Maybe bad chemicals.
Take the film to the lab and complain.
