Unwanted boot choice.

After a failed attempt to re-install Windows XP home I now have two
choices on booting.
Windows XP or Windows XP setup. This is, I think, caused by residual
files from an aborted
"re-install". Where would the unwanted files be stored & how would I
get rid of them?
TIA for any help gratefully received.

Hi
I don't know how to get rid of the unnecessary files. But, obviously, they
should be in a temporary folder in Hard Drive C. For the purpose of omiting
unnecessary boot choice, pursue the following address:
Control Panel> System> Advanced Tab> Startup and Recovery Settings
Press Edit Button; then clean the unneeded command line; and save the file.

Thanks all for a prompt reply.
Adorable Al, I have gone for that & will post the result as soon as I
reboot. Many thanks.
