unwanted automatic connection

Whenever I launch IE, or even Windows Explorer, they try to connect me
to the internet via remote access. This didn't use to happen before.
IE is set to open with a blank page, and I've checked all the internet
options. Does anyone have any idea what could be happening? It's
very annoying!
