unwanted ad bar at bottom of my screen

there is a long blue ad bar at the bottom of my screen. I cant seem to remove
it. The X is the upoper right is in red and when I click it nothing happens.
Its one of thismake money music travel pop ups that have becoome permanant on
my comouter. I cant read all messages at the bottom due to this. Is the a
way to remove this? Please help.Terry
