Unsuspected on Deleted Cookies and Temporary Files

Hi:
Yesterday, my computer was SO slow, then I went at the top,
Tools < Internet Option < Delete Cookies and Internet Temproary Files

However, this morning I found my user's name along with Passwords were
all deleted. There are more than five sites I need user's name and
Passwords
(all unique) for participation. The deleting cookies was quite impact
to me, because I never expected this to happen.

My question is;
Is there any way, ... safely 'delete cookies and Internet temperary files?'
If there is nothing here, in XP, then what do you suggest?

Thanks in advance.

When you deleted all cookies you deleted the cookies with the log in
information.
Next time. Just Delete Files. Then click on Settings and then click of View
Files. You will see a list of your cookies. You can select those you want
to delete by CTRL and Shift in the normal selection way. The reason to
first Delete Files, is to clear your Temporary Internet Files which would
also appear in the View Files list and complicate the cookies cleaning.

There are third party cookie management programs {Google}, but you do not
need them.
