To delete a cookie
1.
In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

2.
On the General tab, click Settings, and then click View files.

3.
Select the cookie you want to delete, and then, on the File menu, click
Delete.

===============================================================
But that only works for Temporary Internet Files. It would not work for the
following:

Spyware:Cookie/Outster Not disinfected
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Cookies\system@outster[2].txt

So person would need to manually go into this file and delete that cookie.
There is not automatic way to delete cookies in this location?

Get Crap Cleaner from www.ccleaner.com/ It will do it all with two clicks.

Actually, I just tested it. I copied cookies to the location
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Cookies\

I tried ATFCleaner and CCleaner and the cookies are still present.

To delete IE files manually, including cookies:

Go to Control Panel,
Rt-clk Internet Options,
drag it to the Desktop,
select Copy Shortcut Here.

This is the same panel that comes up when you
click Tools/Internet Options in Internet Explorer,
but it's faster to have it on your Desktop, and
you can use it even when IE is closed.

For cookies, spefically:
Rt-clk C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\
Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files,
and drag it to the Desktop,
select Copy Shortcut Here.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Cookies\system@outster[2].txt

My point is that this cookie cannot be deleted as you specified because it
is located
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\
as the results from the Panda scan show for the victim. But thanks anyway.

that seems like a weird location for cookies. i wonder if you can delete subfolder. or delete the "cookie" from a cmd
window?
