I've install two different verson of Win XP. When I switch on the PC,
I'll select the appropriate verson to boot up the system. But now I
would like to unstall one of them. Can anyone advise me the best
method to unstall it so that I will not encounter any problem and
delete the system boot up menu?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Two steps, simply boot the one you want to keep, then......

1) Delete the system folders of the unwanted system by opening Windows
Explorer.

2) Start/run C:\boot.ini (assuming you are booting from C:\, change
accordingly if you are not), remove the line referencing the unwanted system
from the [operating systems] section. Click file/save and close. You may
want to reduce the timeout= line as well.

Rick, thx for your help !

But I still wonder whether it's necessary for me to delete the system
Menu (which I can choose the OS to boot up the system)?

Rick,
This is the command line of the boot.ini"[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect"

Please advise how I should change it?

Thc in advance.
