Unsafe Attachments

I'm sure this must have come up before but I can't find a link.

I want to send an URL to someone from within IE6. I use the send a link
button and up pops an email with the text of the URL. However the email
header contains a warning notice stating

"This message has not been sent. Outlook blocked access to the following
potentially unsafe attachments: xxxxx.url"

This is annoying because if I hand copy the URL from IE6 and paste it into
an email. ie do it manually, it gets sent with no problem.

I've checked on another PC and there it worked. The difference seems to be
that the user was using Outlook Express 5. I did notice that a file was
attached as well as the URL. Since the file was visible I could delete it
even though Outlook Express permitted it to be sent.

Is there some switch I can change to either

1. Stop the file being attached but still put the text of the URL into the
email
2. Or stop Outlook from refusing to send the file.

Any help gratefully received

I assumed that it wouldn't send, so thanks for that clarification.

I tried the add-in but it refused to load. I'll try again.

It doesn't refuse to send the file it just notifies you that Outlook
blocks access to it. You can use the following tool for creating better
e-mails when trying to send an URL.
