Unresponsive toolbar

Hi I'm trying to use an outlook archive addin that came with our CRM
software - this works fine on all the other machines but it is not
working on a new build laptop (same version of office)

There are two toolbars - one for the outlook main window and one for
new messages - its the one for new messages that we have problems
with. Upon installing the addin (by going to com addins and adding
the dll file) the toolbar shows up and works fine in new messages.
However, after that, the toolbar is unresponsive for creating any
other new emails - by unresponsive i mean nothing is indented when you
click the toolbar button(s) and nothing happens.

The only way to resolve this is to remove the toolbar (NOT the addin -
although this also works) and add again (but again this only works for
the first message so you have to do it every time you create a new
email)

I'm thinking its perhaps more of a toolbar than addin issue?

TIA

Of course their support costs - everything you buy costs. What did you expect? If you buy a car and need to have the oil changed, it costs. If you want to drive across the country, the gasoline costs. Should I go on?

If you want free support, then write the application yourself and depend only on yourself for troubleshooting. Other people's time costs money - pay for it.

apart from yours of course...makes sense given you've been no use
whatsoever

That's what you get when you post to a public forum asking for assistance. You got what you paid for.

Fixed it! Had support dial in and take a through look, for over an
hour...they were perplexed, told me to do a re install of windows and
contact them again if i still had the same problem...in which case
they would notify their developers.

Did a reinstall, same problem. Had a thought

the problem was Service Pack 3 for Office 2003
