unresolved items after synchronization with PocketPC

I keep getting the "attention required" when synchronizing with my pocket PC.
Tried to Troubleshoot Using Outstore.log and Wcesmgr.log as described in
article 319711 without success. Uninstalled activesync AND office and same
problem occurs after re-installation. Even after deleting all items (notes,
tasks, calendar and contacts) in outlook the problem exists. Installed
activesync on another computer and was able to synchronize with it. Problem
appears to be in original computer's outlook data files. Problem remains
after repairing Office and even after repairing outlook.pst file using
scanpst.exe

Did you try a new mail profile? Di you ask in the ActiveSync newsgroup?

I no longer use outlook for my mail but im the off chance that the problem
was related, I deleted my mail profiles. I did send an email to rpillai that
did post a few items on the subject, I'm still waiting for a reply. I
noticed that RajPillai also posted on the topic in the activesync newsgroup
and Chris De Herrera's Window CE website (PocketPC faq) but I did not yet
post on microsoft's activesync newsgroup yet, will do that next.

I tried a new mail profile.
Did not even import or copy the data from the old profile.
I deleted the old mail profile.
My new profile contains no calendar, tasks, notes or contacts.
My Dell Axim PocketPC still does however.
I still get the problem when I re-try to synchronize.
It seems Outlook still keeps some settings from the original profile.
How can I start fresh? Uninstalling and re-installing didn't do the trick.
I posted a message in the activesync newsgroup and
on the PocketPC FAQ page. All suggestions have failed.
Short of reformating my C drive and re-installing
everything, I don't know what else I can try...
But it seems like a drastic measure that I would prefer to avoid:)

You seem to be confusing "mail profile" and "personal folders file". They
aren't the same thing. Mail profiles are controlled in Control Panel's Mail
applet.

You still should be asking in the ActiveSync newsgroup.

I firtst tried creating a new personal folders file.
When that did not work, I created a new mail profile through the control
panel.
That did not work either. Can't say that It surprises me as I do not
attempt inbox synchronization since I only use my PDA for Calendar, Contacts,
notes and Tasks.
I have posted on the activesync newsgroup and on PocketPcFaq and am trying
everything that's been suggested. No luck so far.
