Unrelated Attachment

Bob Dillon

I am having a new problem. When I send email via Outlook
2002, the recepient sees attachments that I did not send.
The recepient cannot open the attachments.

I have asked them to email the email with the attachments
back to me. I opened them and they contains a
single "bullet" such as a small square. The files
indicates they are image files.

Neither the email I sent or the email returned to me
showed any indication of having an attachement until the
email was opened.

I tried sending an email with an attachement, and that
email showed the attachement being sent and received.
However, when opened the email also showed the unrelated
attachments.

This one has me completely stumped. Any ideas??

Click "Tools>Option..."Mail Format". If the "Compose in this message
format" drop-down says "Rich Text", then you _are_ sending an attachment
every time you send a message. Rich Text is a Microsoft-proprietary format
that only Outlook can read. Select another format.
