For the last couple of days, whenever I've had to boot or reboot my computer
(usually due to need to do a power cycle for cable internet going down), the
initial boot screens, including RAM test, screens of loading drivers, etc.
and Windows logo screen are all horizontally lined, over-written with their
images (like many, many multi-shadows with horizontal lines through them),
completely unreadable, until the user login screen, when it's fine, and the
desktop looks fine. Does this portend trouble either with video card or
with some aspect of the OS? Any assistance would be appreciated before
something more drastic happens. Many thanks. (please respond to e-mail as
well as post... thanks).
