unprotect worksheet without knowing the password

I have protected my huge workbook with a password and now it won't unprotect.
Is there any way I can reset to no password or a new password without
knowing (remembering) the current password? There is a hidden tab containing
a lookup table and I'm trying to avoid having to redo the entire workbook.

yep, there are add-ins/uitlities that can unlock them.

search on google for one, or you could send it to someone & they could do it
for you!
