Unmanned talking through LAN?

Hi

I have a few worksations scattered around the house, connected through a
LAN. Some of them are "unmanned", just displaying things and such.

Now I would like to be able to talk into the microphone of my computer and
the sound comes out through the speakers somewhere else. Sort of like "Mr. X
please come to the managers office..." :) There should be no windows or
things to be clicked away on the other end, just simple sound output.

Does such a beast exist?

Thanks a bunch for any hint
Rolf
