unlocking administrator account

I work in education the previous administrator has not left the passwords and
i need to install new software and can only log on to limited pupil account.

Suggestion: There is a function in Control Panel to create a "password
disk." If the computer has a floppy disk, recommend making one of these and
then locking it away until it is needed. If the password is ever
misplaced/forgotten in the future, use the disk to access the account and
then set a new password.
