Unlocking a Database

I have a shared database that is giving me error 3734:

The database has been placed in a state by user <name> on machine <name>
that prevents it from being opened od locked.

I had a back up copy that is only a couple of days old. I restored it,
updated it and pointed the users to the restored database. I also double
checked the restored database and it is in the Shared mode. The original
database was locked when we had a network connection issue. The orginal
database is stilled locked and I need to unlock it and replace it with the
restored copy. How would I unlock the orginal database so I can replace it
with the restored copy? TIA

One way is to go to that user and machine that locked it and open the db and
then close it.

Another is to try to delete the .LDB file on the network.

world usage, move to Access Data Projects if you give a crap about
your data'

I tried both suggestions. First suggestion I still got the 3734 error.
Second suggestion I received the "file in use" error and I could not delete
the .ldb file.
