Unlock word

I ran AOL auto fix and the computer froze. When I started it back up again
all my word files and the program are on read only. I have restored the
computer to an earlier date and Word is accessable, but as soon as I shut
down and restart it goes back to read only. I've also uninstalled and
reinstalled Microsoft office and the same thing happens. It opens once OK,
then if shut down, reopens in read only.
