Unlock a spinner or scrollbar on a protected sheet

Hi folks

Excel 200

I have worksheet with certain cells I would like to protect. If
protect the sheet then the spinners are locked as well. I trie
unlocking each spinner on the properties tab and when entering th
passord I check allow object
but no luck so far

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I could email someone th
sheet if that would help

If the spinner is linked to a cell, then this must be unlocked (on the
format menu)
