Spinner Control in a Protected Worksheet

MS EXCEL 2002.
Hello. I inserted a "Spinner Control" in my worksheet. I also remove
its protection (Format Control > Protection tab > removed the checkmar
in the "Locked" option).
Then I protected the worksheet as I do not want the users to make an
changes - BUT I WANT THEM TO USE THE SPINNER TO TOGGLE BETWEEN M
PRESET VALUES.

PROBLEM FACED:
After Protecting the sheet, if I click on the spinner control, th
system does not allow and says "The cell or chart you are trying t
change is protected and therefore read-only."

FILE ATTACHED: protected without a password.

Any suggestion / solution?
Thanks/cskgg

I don't open workbooks.

But try unprotecting your worksheet, unlock that linked cell, and reprotect the
worksheet.

Format|cells|protection tab (is where you'd change the "lockedness" of a cell.
