my user list of my shared drive. The icon is in white transparent
color. What does that means ? Pls advise

This unknown user you speak of....are you seeing this by going to Start >
Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management >
System Tools > Shared Folders > Sessions ??
If so, what does it say under the Computer column for this particular user?
OR, are you looking in the permissions for the folder? If so, you can open
the registry and look in
HKEY_USERS\[insert user SID
here]\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
to find out what profile loads for that user, and hence the "friendly" user
name
