Unknown files appeared in my C drive

I just noticed that a few new files appeared in my C drive and I would like
to know what they are:
Beside the gmail_headers and gmail_response ones that I suspect coming from
my gmail autoresponder, I see:
2 empty (0K) dat files
- infected.dat
- pending.dat
the following txt files
- LogiSetup.log 1k
- RUU.log 33k
- WMDesktop.log 28k
- WmpPpcItnSync.log 1k
- YServer.txt 1k

If anyone knows how they arrived in my computer, please help. Thank you in
advance.

Yes, thank you. I hade made a search on Google without much success.

I found out where the others came from by deciphering the text. They come
from Worldmate desktop companion.
