ISEBCXPI.DLL

Ad Aware found a win32 trojan.Agent in my c:\windows\system32 and cleaned it
up.
After that booting and rebooting I always get a message saying the module
c:\windows\system32\isebcxpi.dll could nt be loaded. I tried to find such
dll to make the replacement but for my surprise I could not find it!!!
Microsoft refused to answer which dll is that.
Please help.
Does it belong to Win XP Pro? Where I can find it?
Or how can I fix this problem?
Thanks
Luiz

There is no Windows XP DLL by that name. The fact that Google gets no hits on that tell me it is probably not part of any major commercial program if that is the correct spelling of the filename. It is either really malware or a false positive from AdAware. Please give more information about where in the bootup you are seeing the error. Are you able to still boot into Windows, or is this stopping the bootup? If it is stopping the boot, have you tried Safe Mode?

I just searched my system - it is not a WinXP Pro dll. It is probably not an
XP Home dll either.

Your message says a trojan was cleaned out and this dll was removed and now
you get an error message. Could be parts of the trojan are still there and
in your start up folder, trying to re-install themselves.

You fix the problem by verifyng everything in the startup folder. Get busy.

The malware was removed, but the reference to the file was not removed
from the registry.

Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click OK. Press the Home key, press F3,
type the name of the file into the search pane. Click "Find Next", and
when located, delete the reference to the file. Press F3 to continue
the search.

You can click File, Export, and save the entry to the Desktop, attach
the file to a post in this thread; someone might note whether it's safe
to delete first. If you remove it and there's a problem, double-click
the .reg file you exported to the Desktop and it'll be added to the
registry again. You can create a restore point before editing the
registry too.
