Unknown device

R

Robert Davidoff

windows XP SV2
Intel D975XBX MB with 950 duel core processor
2GB ECC ram

Right from the beginning, I had an unknown device in my device manager.
Everything seems to work on the machine. I have spent hours trying to figure
out what it is and I can't. Any help would be appreciated:

(location is on Intel 82801GH (Ich7DH)LPC

Perhaps it has to do with the dual-core processor?

You need to supply more information, such as, is this a new build, or
has the device appeared all of a sudden on an existing PC that has been
in use for some time?

Is it restored if you remove it?

remove the device from 'other devices' in device manager
put in the motherboards driver CD
refresh , start the new hradware wizard, reboot or before removing from
''other devices', update driver(I don't like to do this)
when the unknown device comes up ...search the CD for the driver.

Please install your mobo's driver, maybe the device has integrated to
motherboard, and you have not drive it.
