This error appeared after the computer crashed and rebooted,

BCCODE: 10000008e BCP1: C0000092 (I've seen this similar error message
but with BCP1: C00000005 and the instructions are to set the pagefile
to 0mb then reboot and reset it to system managed or a specific size)
BCP2: 0012D959 BCP3: BA6708CC BCP4L 0000000. Why aren't these messages
more helpful??

Would the reset pagefile instructions apply to this error even though
the BCP codes are different?

Thanks

The page file typically should be set to "let system manage" then press set 2X
Close out properties. Also, open event viewer for the error or warning for it,
click on the url, this opens knowlege base (help/support) in xp usually with a
fix.Also,you can click on the event/warning,save (R.upper corner),open with
clipbrd, save as,open in wordpad or notepad, more details get listed...

Did you get any STOP message at all? or did Windows reboot itself?
Be sure to turn *off* auto rebooting of Windows when it does have a fatal error.

Right Click the My Computer icon on desktop. Select Properties.
Next, select Advanced. Look for a block that says Startup and recovery. Press the settings button.
In System failure section, turn off (un-check) Automatically restart. Apply change.

See what Event Viewer has in it's log. Select Start button/ select Run , then type in

eventvwr.msc<enter>
-- or Go to Control Panel / Performance and Maintenance/Administrative Tools >Event Viewer.

Review the sections and look for Errors or Warnings that match the time the event occurred. Double click---the information "may" give a clue.

A search (on MS & on Google) on the codes you reported does not find a match.

What to do when you do get a STOP error message:
(a) write it all down. The stop # and the text around it.
(b) Do a lookup here
Aumha.org page on STOP MESSAGES
http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm

(c) If still no luck, post back here with more details.
