Hi all,

Does anyone know of step-by-step instructions on how to uninstall
Total Access from Vista Home Premium?

My brother made the mistake of downloading and installing this piece

Thanks for any advice.

Thank you for the response. From what I have read elsewhere on the
internet it is not that easy to uninstall. I found this on one forum:

"I have contacted Earthlink about this problem and their solution --
uninstall Earthlink Total Access 2005. If we overlook the fact that
deleting Total Access eliminates my ability to use my SMTP server to
send mail and also eliminates any spam controls, there is still a
problem. The software has been written to make it very difficult to
uninstall. There is no "Uninstall Earthlink" option in the Earthlink
folder. If you go to remove software in the control panels the removal
function does not function correctly. A window pops up and disappears
in a fraction of an instant. By clicking this about 20 times I have
been able to read what it says. It is a window asking which Earthlink
components to uninstall - but the list to choose from is blank. It
cannot actually recognize its own software."

That was at http://forums.techguy.org/t316530.html

I am not sure whether the above was with Vista or XP. I am concerned
that the ability to send mail will be totally lost if he removes the
Total Access software.

Turn the whole problem over to your brother. Beat him until he returns your
machine to its original state.

Works for me.

LOL. Can't do that - it's his machine. I'm just trying to help. The
blind leading the blind, sort of.

On top of it all I know little about Vista.

Any more advice REALLY appreciated.

You can call EL tech support and see if you get any help. I use EL tech
support for what it was worth -- nothing. :)
