Unique issue exporting from 2000 mdb using office 2007

I have a database that is in a access 2000 format. But we are using Access
2007 to run this database, I can not convert the database becouse it is
shared between sites and all sites have not been updated to office 2007 yet.
The database exports data to xls files. It is failing with the following
message: run-time error '2282' The format in which you are attempting to
output the current object is not available.

Any help would be great. Our rollout does not cover all sites till the end
of the summer.

It isn't clear whether the failure is happening in your A'07 front-end or in
other versions of Access.

Is there a chance that the version of Excel doesn't match what the version
of Access expects to find?
