uninterrupted sound after boot up

My friend's computer sounds a bell like sound continuously after boot up.
Just a simple bong, bong, and on and on. There are no messages to explain
it, but the sound is something like when you make a mistake and Windows
gives a warning.

Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be.

Thanks,

bdog

When does this happen? During the POST or after Windows has booted up?
It certainly sounds like a warning from his motherboard - perhaps
overheating? He should check in his motherboard manual or on the m/b
mftr.'s site.

Thank you for your response Malke. It is not a motherboard warning. This
is ocurring after he boots and is in WIndows. It is almost like a bell
sound saying you pushed the wrong key to a response or something like that.
I only heard it over the phone. Everything seems to be functioning
properly though. It is as though something is stuck.

Hi, bdog. Your assessment may be spot on - perhaps he needs to either
clean his keyboard or try a different one. Really, the best way to
troubleshoot this is for you to go over there and take a look. If it
isn't the keyboard, run Task Manager and see what is going on during
the noise.
