Unintall a second copy of Windows XP

I had problems with a corrpt Explorer about a yr. ago and the only solution I
had was to re-install Windows XP. Inadvertently, I ended up with two copies
of Windows XP on my computer. How do I un-istall the older one and only that
one ?

Edit the BOOT.INI (google for that if you do not know what that is) and
remove the bum install.
