Uninstalling Windows 2000 after installing XP

Hi,
I just installed windows XP professional on an older PC
that used to have Windows 2000 professional. Now I have
both versions on there so when I start the computer I
have to select one operating system.

How do I uninstall windows 2000 - without having the
original disk (which is long gone by now)? I'm sure
having both 2000 and XP on the computer is slowing it way
down.

I don't know the answer but I have the same problem so if you find out let me
