Uninstalling Vista

J

John

Hi

I have win xp on a primary sata disk. I added a secondary sata disk, booted
from vista dvd and installed vista on the secondary disk. I now have the
boot stuff on primary xp modified by vista. What is the way to undo this
i.e. take the xp disk back to its pre-vista install stage with vista boot
stuff gone? I don't mind if I have to completely wipe off vista form
secondary disk to do that.

Many Thanks

Regards

Hi,

Boot with your XP disk, hit 'r' when prompted to enter the recovery console.
Logon with an admin account. Run fixmbr and fixboot from the prompt. Exit
when complete and restart the system.
