I've been advised by Intel (my M/B mfr) that in order to install update
drivers, I must first UNinstall SP2.

Question:
If I uninstall it, will I be able to REinstall it after I've installed to
Intel drivers?

Thank you

Hi Tony

Yes, you should be able to re-install SP2 without any problems. How was it
installed in the first place - Windows Update, from CD etc.? if you do have
uninstall SP2, may I suggest that you try Add/Remove Programs initially?

Thank, Will.

I installed SP2 from Windows Update.

I'll go to Add/Remove Programs for the uninstall.

BTW, all this just so I can install some updated Intel drivers AND get rid
of/fix an error I'm getting with their "Express Installer CD".
No reflection on Intel. I caused my own problem. :(

Mama didn't raise an idiot, but she sure came close!

I would first check with some authoritative source at Intel that this is
in *fact* needed and is not some junior tech trying to get you out of
his hair. And what specific drivers anyway: an Intel mobo should be
handled by Windows in box ones
