Uninstalling Programs Problem

I just got a brand new laptop with Vista on it. Been using it for couple of
weeks. Love it. I was able to install/ uninstall programs w/o a prob. But
then suddenly, when I went to the uninstall function from the control panel,
it didn't display all my programs. It just displayed like 20 different types
of Microsoft Office 07 and Catalyst Control center and a couple of other
programs. I can't uninstall the program I want to uninstall. Please Help!

Have you tried a system restore to a point when things worked?
 
try clicking on the top item on the left.
View Installed Updates.
then when the display for that shows.
click on that item again to return to the normal install programs display,..
