Uninstalling procedure: which is better.....

I have Yahoo Messenger 6.0 on my computer and I am having
a problem with it. I need to uninstall it and then
reinstall it. What I need to know is which is the correct
way to do this. Should I go into Start/Control Panel/Add-
Remove Programs and find the Yahoo Messenger file (I have
a Yahoo Messenger file 10.86MG and a Yahoo Messenger
Explorer Bar 10.26MB)or can I just find Yahoo Messenger
in search and download it again and when prompted just
click the messenger icon on lower right corner and will
that overide the version I now have? If I decide to
uninstall Messenger first should I delete both messenger
files or just one of them? I am not very computer
literate so a step-by-step help would be greatly
appreciated. I am glad that you have this newsgroup for
people like me who need help. Thanking you in advance.
