I would like some information on how to reformat a HD
that has a corrupted os windows XP. The file system is
NTFS and so far I cannot format using DOS nor I can even
read a DOS file from a floppy disk. Perhaps unistalling
win XP but I tried using the add/remove programs without
succes. Need help badly

thanks if you can help.

Boot your pc from your original Windows XP disk instead of the normal hard
drive and simply follow instructions for installing Win XP....it will
automatically tell you it needs to re-format your hard drive prior to the new
installation.....straight forward process that takes about 1 hour or so.
Obviously save important files and settings prior to commencing.
