I posted a message yesterday and received very good assistance. I have since
discovered another problem with the partitions. It seems that when Linux was
installed the hard drive itself was partitioned roughly 1/3 2/3 and when
installing win 2000 it wont let me remove this partiton. I have a further
problen now in that most of my disc space is rapidly being used up. My
Question is really how do I reset my hard drive partitioning so that I have
no partitions and insatll win 2000. Comments gratefully received

A good starting point might be for you to state exactly what partitions
you have, in which order, and what size they are. You should also
state which partition is active.

Example:
- Partition 1: Unix, active, 10 GBytes
- Partition 2: Windows 2000, 30 GBytes

Thanks Pegasus, only trouble is I dont know how to find out which is active
and which is not. There is nothing in the PC that I need to keep and think
maybe the best is to reformat the hard drive and re-install win 2000. I was
hoping that reformating would clear out the partitions.
