Then oh-so-bright me went and deleted them. No workable result to
doing that. All those deleted stationeries _still_ show up in the
stationery box but with the blurb "not yet installed".
I use custom stationery and never use the O2K ones anymore so would
like to just have all those references just plain disappear from the
stationery box (default installed stationery mostly all quite ugly
<g>).

Try this: In Control Panel's Add and Remove Programs, select Outlook (or
Office) and click Change. Then choose "Add or Remove Features" and click
Next. Expand "Microsoft Office Outlook", click "Stationery" and choose the
"X Not Available" option. Click Update. I don't know that this will remove
the references, but it may.

Thanks so much! Will give this a try. It might work as that's the
trick I use for Excel and Word if I've forgotten to not install the
standard templates. I put copies of those in a separate folder way
back when so as to unclutter the main templates folders as I have
many, many templates that I've created myself that I use in the
contracts I go out on.
Thanks. This trick didn't occur to me and it should have! D
