uninstalling and reinstalling XP Home

Jim Szymanski

I would like to remove and reinstall XP Home Edition on my Dell Inspiron
8100 to remove unnecessary and corrupted files/programs. I have been
experiencing dll issues among other problems that have prevented me from
uninstalling software that is redundant eg. firewalls, anti-virus software,
outdated programs, etc. How would I go about doing this?

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
