Hi, ive installed vista on a new drive, it now wont boot up due to a startup
problem and non of the rcovery options are open to me, how do i now format
the drive to start again, as the drive isnt detected by my install of xp.

Right click on My Computer in XP and select Manage. This will bring up
Computer Management. Under Storage select Disk Management. From within
there you should seel the drive where Vista is installed. Right click on
the partition on the Vista drive and you will see options such as Format and
Delete.
