uninstall

Someone, I suspect my Granddaughter, has installed a casino on my computer.
When I tried to uninstall it, in add or remove programs, I get an error
message that says, "Could not find installation path. Uninstall aborted".
Can anyone tell me how to get this off my computer? Thanks in advance.

System restore to a point before the program was installed - THEN,
create a Limited User account for your Granddaughter, and
password-protect your Admin account.

I hope someone comes back to this posting because I tried to system restore
even in safe mode and my computer won't restore. I just says that it can't
restore and nothing has been changed on my computer.

Hi Rosalie,

I don't know what might be causing this (malware perhaps), but until someone
else responds, this is the *best* site for info on System Restore:

Those casino-type programs are usually found because the computer is
infected with malware. You will need to clean up your computer.

Go through these general malware removal steps systematically -
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Include scanning with either Sysclean or Multi_AV, plus Ewido. Do all
prep/finishing work and follow instructions to do all scans in Safe
Mode.

When all else fails, run HijackThis and post your log in one of the
specialty forums listed at the link above (not here, please).

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting
this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
