Uninstall Still Leaves Some Files On The Computer

Yesterday I first installed Adobe 6.0 and then later
uninstalled Adobe 5.0. After the uninstall of 5.0 I got a
message telling me that some files were not deleted. I
read in the book XP Inside Out that this happens
sometimes. Is this something I should be concerned about?
When I 1st got the message I clicked on the DETAILS
button and I saw about 5 different files that were not
deleted. Should I even be concerned about this?

When the hour-long process of downloading Adobe Reader
6.0 completed successfully, I noticed a
new icon on my desktop for Adobe Reader 6.0. I double
clicked on the icon and got this question: "Adobe PDF
documents on the Web can be viewed inside Netscape and
Internet Explorer. However, this feature is currently
disabled and PDF documents on the Web will open in a
separate window. Would you like to disable this feature
so that you can view PDF documents in Netscape and
Internet Explorer?"

This is where I clicked YES. Now when I try to open PDF
documents, I get a blank screen with a little box at the
top that has multiple colors inside.

What can I do to resolve this problem? I am worse off now
than when I had Adobe Reader 5.0.
Is Adobe Reader 6.0 a better product? As I am trying to
work through this problem I am getting negative comments
about Adobe Reader 6.0. People are saying that 5.0 is
better. Is this true?

If things are left behind, just manually delete them, expecially if the
details button tells you what they are.
As for adobe, I would uninstall it all and then reinstall. Version 6 works
fine for me.
(BTW - after install of acrobat reader, just delete the icon on desktop,
don't try to open it. The install will already set it up to work with your
browser. There's no need to open it, let the browser do it.)
