Uninstall Problem

While trying to uninstall Farstone VirtualDrive Utility & Burning Suite my
PC froze - I have it nearly 2 hours before switching it off.

The problem is that it is still in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and
is still showing in Device Manager. When I try to remove it in Control
Panel, I get a message that it is unable to be removed! Tried same in safe
mode - same result! Tried uninstalling it from Device Manager, seems to work
but reappears when I reboot. Used TweakUI to remove Drive from list but the
program remains in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Can anyone advise me how to remove this program?

reinstall the program. Reboot normally.
Closedown and boot to safemode.
Uninstall from add/remove.

Sorry Dave, should have included that I did try to re-install it but error
message "could not uninstall .... etc.," came up.

Check msconfig/startup tab and also msconfig/services
(hide MS services) Uncheck anything related to this program.
Reboot.
Try deleting the applications folder in "program files"
and then reinstalling. If not helpful,
can you use system restore to revert to a tme prior to
the first uninstall attempt?
If so, do it and then uninstall from safemode.

Contact the program vendor's tech support for information on how to
remove it.
