Uninstall problem wit premium edition now replaced with Office 2003

I recently installed Office 2003 and the premium edition that was on
wouldn't uninstall (as I don't have the cd anymore?). I just deleted it from
the programs file but there must be still references in the registry as when
I run office uodate it tries to update the old premium edition which isn't
what I am using now; could this be the root of the problem. I don't really
know what to do about it i invested in the latest office to get an
improvement not to sabatage my programming efforts it is really annoying.

Any help much appreciated, kind rgeards, Mark

This is highly likely to be your problem, your registry still shows the
installed version, just deleting files will not remove these entries and is
not recommended. Why do you need the CD to uninstall?
You should be able to go to the control panel and click add or remove
programs from the list select the program and uninstall, this should update
you registry. Suggest you also uninstall Office 2003 as well and start over
again.

Cheers
