uninstall or erase

Hello,

I have an old program which I have uninstalled, but it still shows in
/control panel/uninstall programs/ (even after rebooting etc). I can find
its folder in /Program Files/, but it doesn't show in /start/all programs/ .
I'd like to delete it as it is quite big.

is it safe just to delete the folder, or do I need to do something in the
registry ?

Thanks

If you successfully used the program's uninstaller, then most certainly you
can delete the program folder that was left after the uninstall. To remove
the entry in Programs & Features in Control Panel:

Start Orb>Search box>type: regedit. When regedit appears in the Results
above, right-click it and choose "Run as administrator". Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Uninstall.
Find the entry for the program and delete it. Many entries will not be
identified by name, just a long string of numbers in the left panel.
Highlight each one and look at the information in the right panel to find
the one you wish to delete. Be careful that you only delete the one
program! Then exit regedit.

Yes. Easy answer.
